Well, my headache's gone (better be.... that was over a month ago!) but I have a whole new set of headaches to deal with. First of all, that friend I said I would help out in finding her long lost adopted kid is not going well, and she blames me for it. She said I made myself out to be this super duper people searcher and that I guaranteed her that I would find this kid. Thing is, she's writing me off already, even though the search has only been going on for less than a month. Doesn't she know that these things aren't as easy as I make em look? Geesh. Ha, I am sorta catty right now, though. I got her hopes up by sending an email with a subject line of "Found him!" but instead the body of the message linked to an article called Is Irradiated Food Safe? and she totally flipped out. Maybe that was a mistake? Oh well. I'm still a great people finder, I just am not a miracle worker. I'm not sweating it, I just don't like being yelled at when I'm doing someone a favor. I don't have to be doing these people searches, ya know!

Spring break was amazing. I decided I'd take a stint down to Barcelona, which was such a beautiful city. Don't tell anyone, but I had a fling with a hot Spanish guy while I was there. Shhhh, yes, that was a real reason I was a day late returning to teach classes - not the flu, which is the excuse I made up. But he had such a beautiful home in the Raval that I just didn't want to leave. We agreed it would just be a one-off thing, so I didn't get his phone number or anything after I left, but now that I'm back I'm tempted to do a person search for him. Is that terrible? To promise that you won't find person and then do it anyway? I'm not sure this people search still works in Spain? Maybe I should give it a try just for that reason, just to try, you know? He said he loved my body, but after eating so much food on the break, I think I need a prescription strength diet.

Darn, I was going to write an entire introduction in French, but I'm typing from my American laptop, and I can't figure out how to change the characters into French characters. Le sigh. Oh well, just pretend that all this was in French--because I'm in France! Yes, it's lovely. I hadn't been to Nice before, but Nice is very nice. (Get it? Get it??) I'm teaching at the French equivalent of a community college here. That's about the best I can do until I have some more teaching experience--and my French gets better. Sorry that my blogging hasn't been as prolific as it has been in the past, but you've got to forgive me, France keeps me pretty distracted. However, I did come across this great people search blog that I liked. Check it out. Another thing that made me laugh recently was this rant To the obviously too short for me bar tender. No, it didn't make me miss the American bar scene at all.

Hello all, Henri back again. Actually I just got back from Paris :) I had an amazing time, the weather was magnificent. It was kind of a last minute thing, I was invited to speak at a Sociology conference, they had a speaker drop out at the last minute, so I got lucky. I spoke on social structures, my area of interest. I also covered how the Internet has influenced how we re-connect and stay connected with one another. As you are all well aware this blog is dedicated to how to find people and stay in touch, it's my place to put all my theories down and get your feedback. I have some great people search links to share with you this month, all the time I spent in airports these last few weeks paid off! Here are three really awesome people search sites: Find SomeoneThomas's People SearchFind PeopleI am also in the process of looking to buy an apartment and I cam across this site Finding Anyone Now - Finding a Realtor, which I found very helpful, highly recommend this post if you're looking to buy a place.
